The Hosur-bound private bus left Krishnagiri around 1.15 p.m. carrying nearly 40 passengers. It was crossing Chinnar along the highway when a container lorry from Hosur took a U-turn near Sundagiri. The bus crashed into the lorry killing four people on the spot. Two persons died at the Krishnagiri Government Hospital and one died at the Hosur Government Hospital.
