Mannippu - indeed a Tamil word… Mannuthal (adj) - to think ; to consider. Mannal / Mannuthal - மன்னிப்பு தமிழ்ச் சொல்லே !  மன்னுதல் = கருதுதல், எண்ணுதல். (Consider, Think)  (மன்னல் - தொழிற்பெயர்: Verb  மன் - முதனிலைத் தொழிற் பெயர். மான் முதனிலை திரிந்த தொழிற்பெயர். மான் +அம் =மானம்). மன்னல் / மன்னுதல் என்றால் தன்னிலையில் மாறாது நிற்றல் என்பது பொருள்.(Being constant in one's opinion) மன் + இற்றல் = மன்னிற்றல்.  இற்றல் - இல் ; இல்லாமல்; போக்குதல்.  மன்னித்தல் = தன்னிலையில் இருந்து மாறுதல்; முடிவை மாற்றிக் கொள்ளுதல் ; தன்னிலையில் இருந்து பிறர் பொருட்டு இறங்கி வருதல். தென் ஆப்பிரிக்காவின் 2வது பெரிய நகரமான கேப்டவுனில் முழுமையாக தண்ணீர் தீர்ந்துப்போகும் நிலை ஏற்பட்டுள்ளது. சுமார் 40 லட்சம் பேர் வசிக்கும் கேப்டவுனில் மூன்று ஆண்டுகளாக போதிய மழை பெய்யாததால், பெரும்பாலான நீர் நிலையங்கள் வற்றி விட்டன.    இதனால் மக்களுக்கு தேவையான் நீர் அளவிடப்பட்டு திறந்து விடப்படுகிறது. தினமும் மக்களின் தேவைக்காக தண்ணீர் திறந்துவிடப்படுவதால், தண்ணீரின் அளவு குறைந்து கொண்டே போகிறது. இந்நிலையில், கேப்டவுனில் கார் சுத்தம் செய்தல் மற்றும் நீச்சல் குளங்களுக்கு தண்ணீர் பயன்படுத்துதல் ஆகியவை தடை செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது. தற்போது 80 லிட்டர் தண்ணீர் மக்களுக்கு வழங்கப்படுகிறது. அடுத்த மாதம் முதல் இதன் அளவு 30 லிட்டர் குறைக்கப்பட்டு 50 லிட்டர் மட்டுமே வழங்கப்படும் என தென் ஆப்பிரிக்க அதிகாரிகள் தெரிவித்துள்ளனர். மேலும், மக்களும் தங்கல் பங்கிற்கு தண்ணீரை மறு சுழற்சி செய்தும் பயன்படுத்தி வருகின்றனர். இதே நிலை தொடர்ந்தால் வரும் ஏப்ரல் 22 ஆம் தேதி கேப்டவுனில் நீர் முற்றிலும் தீர்ந்துபோகும் என அறிவிக்கப்பட்டது தற்போது ஏப்ரல் 12 ஆக அறிவிக்கப்பட...
